Brendan Pitman

Overview

Brendan Pitman attended the University of Queensland to undertake his Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Business Management degrees. In an active pursuit for purpose, Brendan put those studies on hold for two years and participated in a two-year, full-time community service program. On return, Brendan achieved Honours in Law, completed a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice at Queensland University of Technology, and was admitted to the Supreme Court of Queensland in 2015 as solicitor.

This focus on body corporate and commercial disputes led him to return to University of Queensland to complete a Master of Laws part-time, achieving excellence in all body corporate and dispute focussed courses.

Brendan represents clients in mediations and conferences, appears in federal and all Queensland state courts, including QCAT and NCAT, and represents body corporates, lot owners and caretakers in the Office of the Commissioner of Body Corporate and Community Management.

Brendan is also a sessional teaching fellow at Bond University having taught in civil procedure, evdience and company law courses. He is also on the management committee of Research & Policy House, an association with a vision of making sense of complex issues to enable better strategic decisions by policy makers.
